When it no longer fits

There are seasons for growth, and there are seasons for release.

We often speak of letting go like it’s something easy. But the truth is, it takes enormous strength to acknowledge what no longer fits — especially when it once served a real purpose. An identity, a belief, a role in someone else’s life — these can feel like second skin. And when it’s time to shed them, we can mistake it for failure, or feel guilt for moving on.

But what if letting go is not a betrayal, but an honoring?

An honoring of the self you’ve become.
An honoring of the wisdom earned.
An honoring of the space needed to step fully into what is now asking to be lived.

Some of the most powerful transformations don’t come from pushing harder — they come from softening. From pausing long enough to notice what we’re still holding onto out of habit, fear, or misplaced loyalty.

When we choose to honor what no longer fits, we are saying yes to something deeper.
To alignment.
To freedom.
To a life that feels true.

Here’s a journaling prompt for you : What part of me or my life feels tight, outdated, or quietly asking to be released?
What becomes possible if I choose to honor that truth, gently and without judgment?
